According to a scientific study, kneeling and prostrating while praying strengthen the abdominal, legs, and thighs muscles. Prayer postures also increase the activity of the intestines thus preventing against constipation. Kneeling and prostration also lead to lowering the blood pressure on the brain thus allowing the blood flow to get to all body parts. Allah says:

O ye who believe!

Bow down, prostrate yourselves,

And adore your Lord;

And do good;

That ye may prosper.
