The people of Dhu al-Qarnayn were accustomed to humiliation and dishonor and to live as slaves, so whenever he called them to freedom and worship God alone they denied him his call because they were very afraid of the knowledge of the unjust king, Indeed, they tried to warn Dhul-Qarnayn that if the king knew about his calling, he would send his armies to that village to crush them all.

Here, Dhu al-Qarnayn know that the king robbed the people of freedom and faith in God and stood against injustice, but he did not despair and with the passage of time he increased strength and determination,

And he resolved to change the lives of his people so that they could regain their glory, freedom, and return to God, and he increased in calling his people and spreading the spirit of faith in God inside them again, but the people grew alienated and mocked by him, but Dhul-Qarnayn remained steadfast in calling his people.

He woke up in astonishment and narrated his vision to his few followers, and he was proud of that vision, as it explained his chest and renewed hope in him for victory.

Some wise men interpreted his vision that he would be king and grow up in power until he would own the land from its east to the west, And he had interpreted the people of his people that the king would hang him by the two horns of his head, and from this time he became calling for the two horns, and over time he continued to call for freedom until his supporters increased, and his fame spread among his people until he became their leader and leader.

The whole country was subject to the rule of a mighty king, so all of those countries used to send money out to that infidel king every year, and when the king’s messengers came after Dhul-Qarnayn took over his people, he expelled them and sent a message to the king with them suggesting not to submit to him again, and when the king read it, he was restrained. But when he knows that the one who sent it was a young man, he sent him a letter mocking him, but Dhul-Qarnayn sent him a message suggesting war and that he would remove him from power and take over in his place, so Dhu al-Qarnayn called among his people to prepare for war.

When the people of that king know of the power of the army of Dhul-Qarnayn, they wanted the king to complete the reconciliation, but the king was very angry and decided to fight and meet the army of Dhul-Qarnayn, and when the two armies met the army of the unbelievers and his leader, the infidel king, and thus Dul-Qarnayn liberated his country and neighboring countries from the oppression of that unjust king.

His journey from west to east:

After that, Dhu al-Qarnayn decided to fulfill his vision that he had seen in his sleep, so he headed towards the West until he reached the borders of the earth and reached the western century of the earth, and he found there a nation living in disbelief,

but God enabled him to torment them all, but he chose the path of guidance and advice, and it was Dhu al-Qarnayn knows what he gave him of determination, strength, and diligence, so he advised them for the religion of monotheism and built a mosque for them,

and those who remained in disbelief are the ones who suffered torment until they return to God to obtain their torment in the Hereafter, the Almighty said:

[Indeed We established him upon the earth, and We gave him to everything a way. *

So he followed a way *

Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, “O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness.”

He said, “As for one who wrongs, we will punish him. Then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him with a terrible punishment.

But as for one who believes and does righteousness, he will have a reward of Paradise, and we will speak to him from our command with ease.”

Then he followed a way ] { Al- Kahf V: 84-89}

And his army continued to march until it reached the eastern century of the earth, and it was passing by many nations guiding it to the religion of God and achieving peace and justice in it, and after all those countries he did not find other countries to invade and annex it to his possession, so he returned with his army to the vast plains of China.
